Use cases · Offline

An offline task manager that keeps your data on your PC.

For flights, trains, patchy connections and anyone who would rather not put their to-do list on a server.

Backup and Data settings

The problem

Plenty of task apps work offline in a limited way but depend on an account and a sync service in the background. If you want your tasks to simply live on your machine, with no moving parts, you need an app designed that way from the start.

How Minmento helps

  • No connection needed. After installation Minmento works fully offline.
  • A file on your PC. Data is stored in a SQLite file in your Windows user profile. You can open the folder from Settings.
  • No sync service. Nothing runs in the background to upload your tasks.
  • Backups you control. Export a full JSON backup whenever you like, and import it on another PC.
An honest limit. Because Minmento is local-first, it does not sync between devices today. If you need the same list on a phone and a laptop, a cloud-synced tool is the better fit. See Minmento vs cloud-only task apps.
